I need to open in Max 8 a biped animation that was done in Max 9.

Sofar no luck.
I’ve tried the Bobo’s File Format script - It opens everithing but the biped.
I’ve tried exporting from Max9 to FBX format and open as FBX in Max8 - no luck. The animation comes as regular bones animation. I’m missing the final step of applying this bone animation to a biped in Max8. It doesn’t seem to work....

Any ideas? Anyone had this problem before?

Thanks,
Felix

hi,
In max 9 save the “.Bip” file load it in motion mixer of max 9 and save it as a “.MIX” file and then try loading it in max 8.I hope this should work.

Thanks NEERAJ for your posting.

Unfortunately your suggestion didn’t work. When I try to open the .MIX file from Max9 in Max8 the error is displayed:

xx.bip The version of this file is not recognizable. Please verify that you are using the most recent version of Character Studio.

Any ideas?
