Hi,

I Cannot change the Multiplier value on any light in any scene.
I opened up an old scene (about 2 months old) and all the lights’ multiplier values were either set to 0 or 1. Previoiuly they were set to all different values between 0 and 1.

I created a new scene to test the lighting and behold; the same issue occured. This issue has suddenly occured in the last week. My licensing hasn’t expired as I have 38 days left.

Any help will be appreciated.

Regards,

DRea

Hi darren, are the multiplier spinners greyed out? Do they push in and out but wont change the value?

Check your Preference on the General Tab, Spinners Precision.  It is default at 3 decimals.  Make sure use Snap is not enabled if you want to make adjustments in decimals, as the default is 1.0.  You can alternatively try moving the 3dsmax.ini file which holds your preferences if the above doesn’t fix it, since that file may be corrupt.  You’ll have to redo your preferences.

Hey thanks guys,

Great advice! The buttons weren’t grey out… it was the preferences that had changed. I did a quick change back and it works great now.

Thanks again,

DRea :)
