Does anyone have any tips on how to convert RGB values 1-255 to MR’s color value system? My boss has given me pantone colors which I can get an RGB value from but not in the same format as MR’s color picker.
Thanks

Would not 0=0, 255=1.0 work.
Non-math method:
Set your renderer to Mental Ray.
Open the Material Editor and create the RGB (0-255) color to match the Panatone equivalent in a color swatch of a Standard material.
Right-click over the color swatch to Copy.
Select another sample slot and set it to the Arch and Design material.
Paste the copied color into any of the color swatches.
Double-click to bring up the Color Selector and read the mr color values.
A pale green 150,250,178 equates to 0.588, 0.98, 0.698.
(I’m not a mr expert, but the above makes sense unless there is a fundamental difference in the way hue, saturation, and value are treated between the two systems.)

Thanks for the replies guys! yeah I feel like an idiot after asking this question seeing the answer is so simple. ha ha. I was doing what focomoso suggested but I now realize that copying the color from an standard material to an A&D material is the simplest answer. Thanks for the help!
