Customizing your own toolbars and quad menus’ is obviously very easy to do, but what I would love to know is if there is any way possible to actually customize the “Main Toolbar”, ie. deleting buttons on it that I simply never use, etc.

Along the same lines, I would absolutely be thrilled if there were a way to customize rollout menus in the Command Panel for some of Max’s built in feature sets… namely Character Studio.  For 99.9 % of my daily animation duties, I only make use of maybe 20% of all the available commands in the various rollouts there.  It would be so efficient if it was possible to simply craft up my own “Biped Rollout” command panel.

Anybody know if this is possible?
Autodesk, how bout’s putting this type of user ability into the next version of Max if it’s not already there?

Just my 2c

Thanks in advance : )

You mean this?

Rollouts, I believe those are hardcoded but you may be able to find a way to add a button or tool.  SO I’d say I don’t know.

Thanks Maneswar.

Looks like I’ll at least be able to try some modification of at least the toolbar.
Much abliged.

You can change the rollout order by dragging them to their new position
(left click the grey part of the rollout, it should have a blue wire outline)

To reset to default: right click in the “background” of the rollout and select:
Reset Rollout Order
