Hi there, i am wondering if you use a .ms file to generate or manipulate a max scene, if there is a reference stored to the ms file in the max file, or do you have to make certain to “embed” it somehow, or is none of this possible and you just have to remember what ms file you used where?

It sure would be nice if it stored some sort of reference at least, as i totally forget which ms file i used for a complex max scene!
thanks for any info!

Don’t know if there ae other ways of reminding yourself but
(in the future) you could create a pop up note to open when the file is opened.

The pop-up notes would be a great place to store that, you could also use the Description field in File > Summary Info.

There’s no direct access to the Popup Notes by default, to enable them click here.
