I’ve tried dling Super 3 times now and the server keeps crapping out at 20%. After looking at the site, confidence is not high.

Weird, I just tried it out, and it downloaded with no problems. I know the site isn’t very confidence inspiring, but it really is worth it. The H264 films it produced were much much better than anything Quicktime Pro was churning out.

Another thing that may be useful is the Wikipedia page for H264:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/H264

Depending on what platform you are creating the movies for, the information about Profiles and Levels could be very useful, because Super makes full use of a number of different profiles / levels.

Guys, Guys!!!

I’m a video Editor/Independent FilmMaker.

I render my sequences as .PNG and Output My Video whithin Adobe After Effects
Once in After Effects you can even do some Final Killer Touch Effects And output to any Format
that is out there in the market such as: .AVI ; .MOV ; H.264 for ipod ; FLUSH ; MOBILE, ETC,ETC....!

I highly recommended this way....!
I hiope this Helps

Good Luck

So, I finally got it to download and i have to say, it looks great. The only thing is that right out of the box it does the same washing out of colors for H.264 that max and premiere do, but I haven’t played with the profiles at all. Maybe I’ll be able to get better output. Results to follow…

Hi Freddy,

I hate to burst your bubble, but H264 output with After Effects is probably one of the worst things you can do. Compared to other encoders, the AFX quality for H264 is worse than rubbish.

Otherwise I use AFX for everything, but never for H264.

I’ve been using Combustion’s “ShellRenderer.exe” for years via a cmdjob sent to BackBurner ( if you have a farm ), but the quality is not as good as QT.

I’ve been looking to use this attached scripting technique with quicktime pro, but haven’t gotten around to it…

Cscript.exe should be in your system32 folder, if not find it on the web.  It’s a runtime to JavaScripts I think..  That allows access to the QT classes, you can see the code for this in the .js file.  I haven’t dug to deep into this, but maybe soon as combustion is failing to render some of out HD sequences do to memory issues… Renders fine if you have a session of C* open, but fails using the shellrenderer ! ? ! ?

Good luck

Another neglected bit of Autodesk software is CleanerXL. The interface is lame, the support is poor, but the results still beat anything else I’ve tried. I have not tried it with H246 however, and Cleaner has not been updated in a while. Maybe there is still a demo version.
It does output very good WMVs and Flash (FLV) video. Image sequences, including PNG, work well as source footage. You can add audio as long as it matches the duration of the input footage.
