Material editor is missing...I pressed M, i went to render>material editor.,also i clicked on material editor iconon main toolbar..
but everything in vain,,my material editor is not coming up..

It’s probably offscreen.
- Close Max
- Open your 3dsmax.ini file. (Mine is in C:\Documents and Settings\myname\Local Settings\Application Data\Autodesk\3dsmax\9 - 32bit\enu)
- Search for [MtlEditorPosition]
- Edit the first number in your MainWindow line to be 100
- save the .ini file and restart Max
