this is going back really far. but the newest version i have to learn on is R3. does anyone know a way to constrain 2 faces of models together like in autodesk inventor. i would like to join to faces in any number of ways and have them permanently stick as if you glued them together.
also does anyone know the best format to go back and forth between inventor and MAX. at work we use inventor but i know that the rendering is better and faster in MAX and would like to show my boss what it could do so we could upgrade to it. so i would like to take one of our machines and build it in max to see how long it takes and what it could do for us visually.

thank in advance
