Hi,
When I render my scene I use the smoke map for the background.  The map is black and gray.  Is it possible to change the colors of that map so that it has some red color in it?

From an empty Material slot, go to Map/Material browser, then choose “Browse From: Scene.” Your Environment Map (Smoke) should appear. You can edit the color slots.

If you haven’t already, the tutorials that ship with Max cover most of these basic questions.
