Hi,
I want to add music to my animation. How can I do this. Can’t find this in the tutorial with the keyword
“music”.
Thanks,
Rob.

First you need your muic as a .WAV file, Max only loads this audio format. In Max open the Curve editor or Track view, at the top should be ‘Sound’, right click it and choose Properties from the menu, then click ‘Choose Sound’ and find that WAV.
You should see a waveform at the top, you can use this to sync anim to the music, I use it to lipsync voice overs. You can slide the sound along the timeline to star later if you want. But you can only load a single sound file, if you need to mix sounds, you have to use an audio mixing program and export a singe .WAV file.

Hi,

For a visual reference, you can Right click under Time Slider (Frames counter, under Viewport) and select / Configure - Show sound track. It´s perfect to synch the animation with audio.
I suggest you to use sound only for synch purposes, and put the final sound in postproduction.

Regards.
