How can I stop the objects from appearing then disappearing when I try to “make preview” the animation?  I can’t figure out how to make each frame draw properly before it moves onto the next frame.

I have a Geforce 7900GTX set to D3D9

I’d rather not have to buy a Quadro.

Try setting your graphics mode to software Z-buffer. If that fixes it, you know it’s a video card/driver issue… at which point you can try updating your driver *or* backing off to older vers. Both methods seem to work for different problems.

It still flashes with the OpenGL driver.  How do I switch to Software mode?  It seems disabled...The radio button has been grayed out in the last couple of versions of max for me.

I’m on x64 if that is the reason why I can’t select it.
