problem when import *.dfx/dwg files in 3dsmax 7.0

the error message is:

File link message:
unable to attach this file,the file may be missing,corrupted,or may not contain valid data.

ok

plz,any one explain how to save(autocad) & import (3dsmax) a .dxf/.dwg file.

If you are using Max 7.0, chances are that the CAD drawings you are trying to import were made with a more current version of CAD than Max will accept.  From CAD, try saving back to like R14 file version.  That should fix your problems, but not all functionality will be in the file, depending on what tools you are using.
