I have a very annoying problem when using the render to texture dialog. I used to run 3ds max with dual screens, but now I’m back to using only one monitor. The problem appears when I try to overwrite an already existing texture using the render to texture function. The “This file already exists...” dialog actually pops up outside my screenspace, most likely from the days when I used a dual-screen setup. This freezes everything. The only way that works for me is pressing ALT+F4, go delete the texture file manually before going back to max and trying again (for some reason SPACE or ALT+Y doesn’t work). Nuisance.
Does anybody know any way to reset where this dialog pops up? A script pherhaps, or some .ini files somewhere? Or, do I have to go steal another monitor to rescue this stranded dialog-box?
Edit: By the way I am using 3DS Max 9.
