Hello,

If we delete a preset, e.g : in the SuperSpray > Load/Save presets rollout, if we delete or modify a preset (Bubbles, Fireworks, Hose, Shockwave, trail, Welding Sparks etc, is there any known way to restore it. In which file are these presets saved (so that I can back-up this file and use it to restore the original settings later?
Also please tell me the files where others like PArray etc save their presets in the same way? And also for any other such areas of 3ds Max.

Hello,

May I know if there is an answer to this question? Why hasn’t anyone posted here yet?

Got me… I just saved a preset (named it wonky) and then searched for it.... nada. So it must be in some .ini file; but I just looked thru 3 and still nada. Sorry…

Docs&settings blah blah enu\plugcfg\suprspr.cst - see this post for how to find the enu directory (different for different versions and OS etc).
It would appear that there is a default copy in <installdir>\plugcfg which you may be able to copy across.

The other particle systems appear to have similar files in the same directories. Note that they appear to be binary files (not text) so they can’t easily be edited outside of Max.
