Autodesk 2008 with Vista 32bit

A student of mine is trying to skin a character with multiple meshes and receiving this error message…

CoCreateInstance() failed
Please check your registry entries
CLSID{F088EA74-2E87-11D3-B1F3-00C0F0C37D3} and make sure you are logged in as an administrator

What should we do?

Many thanks,

Zeb Wood

I found someone running Max 2008 on XP, and had them add the skin modifier… Worked fine.  Hope that bug gets fixed....

Sounds like something is messed up with the registry in Vista.  Try re-installing.
