Hello!
I’va got a little problem in 3ds max 2008. I want to snap multiple selected vertices along an axes like MAYA, (middle click on an axis than press v and middle click to a target vertex) but it’s not working.
If you have any idea please help!
Thank you, and sorry for my language mistakes.

What type of object? It’s possible, but the method varies depending on the type of object.

Max 4.2 through 2013.
XP-64 (SP2)
NVidia 9800GTX-512 (Driver 266.58).
Core 2 Quad Q6600 2.4GHz, 8Gb Ram, DX9.0c.

What do you mean about “what type of object?” Becouse in Maya it’s independent of object type. Sorry if this question is a little stupid.

Max is not Maya - if you keep trying to do in Max what you can do in Maya (or vice-versa) you’ll come unstuck.

Max has many different types of object - Editable Meshes, Editable Polys, Editable Splines, NURBS, Editable Patches.... each has its own set of tools, some of which are common, many of which are not.

For example, in an Editable Poly object you could select the vertices, go to the Modify Panel, Edit Geometry rollout and click either “Make Planar”, “X”, “Y”, or “Z” as appropriate. If the object is a Shape (Editable Spline) there are many more things you can do to Vertices, but making them Planar isn’t one of them - you have to (carefully) scale them (non-uniformly) in the required axis.

I would suggest that you do the tutorials which ship with max to get a better feel for how it works - it is very different to Maya.
