I’m modeling a human skull and to save work I’m using the symmetry modifier for obvious reasons. It seems no matter what I do I still have a like going straight down the line where the mirror of symmetry.
I have a render of the skull as a PNG, and I am going to include the scene.
This is my first successful attempt in modeling a organic object so please give your constructive criticism so I can improve later on. Also, if you download the scene please comment on my modeling method and if it’s the best way to go. I’m still a student and I want to improve my game. Thanks!

Put the TurboSmooth above the Symmetry, not below it. Just left-click drag the TS modifier up above the Symmetry (a blue line will appear showing where it will be when you release the mouse).
And pop your Max version in your sig - saves ppl having to ask every time…

Thank you very much man! Haha, I knew it would probably be something extremely simple, but I had no idea what. I tried even scaling the verts on the inner side of the symmetry mirror.
Would you have any suggestions on how to model the teeth of the skull?

Not really - model them the same way you would model anything else. I would say that you need to finish the rest of the skull (especially the jaw / mouth area) before you do the teeth - gives you a better idea of how big they are. You should be able to find stuff (images) about teeth on the ‘net. In fact, IIRC, there’s a thread somewhere on here regarding teeth - try searching for it - it may prove useful.

If that doesnt work, adjust your symmetry threshold value.

That’s what I thought at first as well. It did reduce the scheme along the symmetry mirror, but it was still visible.
It’s looking good now. ;)
