Does anyone know where I could buy a full, working copy of Character Studio 4?  I recently purchased 3ds max 5.1.  It came with a 30-day trial version of Character Studio 4, but you had to buy the full version from Discreet (the company which owned and sold 3ds max 5.1, before Autodesk bought 3ds max.)

Autodesk no longer sells Character Studio 4.  I’m looking for someone who could sell me a legitimate copy, so that I could install it with my 3ds max 5.1.

Thank you for any help that you can give me.

Sincerely,
Eli Shams

Wow, that’s going to be tough. If the license for CS is anything like the license for Max, you would need to find an un-registered copy. That is, one that has never been registered and authorized. Or get Autodesk to agree to the license transfer.

Have you checked with your local, and not-so-local authorized retailer. Who knows, they may have one sitting in the back closet.
