Does anyone know of a way i can animate an objects transparency? As in the object goes from solid to transparent ( to see inside it) and then back to solid. is it possible?

with scanline renderer u can animate the visibility found on object properties and track view, u need to add the visibility track first, but if u animate the visibility on the object properties it will be automaticly created, its better to work on the track view tho.

u can also do it with the opacity map, 100 means solid and 0 fullly transparent, if ur material is for example an arch&design(that lacks the opacity map) u can use a blend material and animate the mix curve, the first material of the blend will be the arch&design and the second one a standard map with 0 opacity.
