I need to recreate a video similar to the youtube link.  Molecules rotating/moving around, then sticking to other rotating/moving molecules, and appear stuck, not moving anymore.

How would I set up/animate that the most efficiently?

I’m fairly newbish when it comes to animation in Max, at least for constraints and hierarchy systems etc.  Usually I just do basic camera animation, or simple rotation/location/scaling stuff.

mef (Marc) from cgtalk answered it for me - use the Link Constraint.
Link to world at first, animated as needed, then change the link start time for the link to the second object. Perfect, thanks for the guidance (and the help file).
