When i have a base scene with a xref’d scene in it; is there some way to expose certain parameters from the xref’d scene, so i can acces them from the base scene?

For example: I have a scene with a rigged robot arm. All the parameters i want to be able to animate are assigned to parameters in a custom attributes modifier, so i have a ‘control panel’ from which to operate the robot. (Parameters are eg. rotations of the arm, gripper open/close etc., the robot is rigged so hoses bend, gears turn etc. when animating the parameters.)

I want to have four of these robot arms in my base scene, so i xref scene them in the base scene. (The advantage of using xref scene instead of xref is that i can add/remove objects from the xref scene and it will update accordingly in the base scene, see my other post Group “instance”)

Is there way to expose the ‘control panel’ of each of these robot arms in the base scene, so they can be animated independently?

Anyone? Should I pose the question differently?
