I have a problem using motion captured fingers with max Biped. Where I work, we currently have a motion capture pipeline (Vicon -> bvh -> biped -> animation) and are trying to add finger motion capture to the process.
The bvh that we create seem correct in our bvh viewers, but fingers are screwed when imported on biped. My principal problem come from the fact that the thumb does not have a standard rest-pose (applying a null rotation does not leave the thumb with a null orientation relatively to it’s parent, but leaves it in a standard max rest pose...).
Strangely, the x and y axis seems also to be inverted when loaded (our bvhs are Y-up, but biped seems to handle correctly the conversion for all bones except fingers...).
Does anyone already had a similar problem and can give me some advices?
