I have a biped, and I’m mixing animations to have it skate around a pond. It’s linked to a dummy that follows a path so it goes in circles. My problem is when I put it in mixing mode - when I do, the biped moves away from the dummy and embeds itself in the ice! I can manually align it to the dummy again, but it just moves away once I leave the frame, and when I put it into Move All mode, I can’t move it. I’ve been wrestling with this for 3 days and I have an assignment due - halp!

Bake out the mix into a .bip file and load that onto the biped. It should stay at
the dummy location with the mix playing on it.

Thanks for the info. How do I bake it to a .bip? I don’t see the option anywhere.

Okay, I found that problem. That was stupid, but I still need help.

I made my .BIP files in other scenes, but when I save them out, they incorporate the old positions - so when I load up my first animation for the loop, it positions the biped where it was in the other scene!

Is there a way to save out .BIP files for just the bone animations, instead of factoring in position and rotation as well?

When you save the BIP file, don’t select “ Save Segment at Current Position and rotation “. If you don’t want the biped to be at the same place ?
