Is their a button for moving objects that moves only and not the standard “select AND move arrow tool icon.
I have a very dense detailed project and I keep running into problems with things accidently getting selected and moved just enough to screw things up.
I know about Freeze but that isnt the question.
By forcing be to go back to the selection tool arrow before moving something I believe I can avoid these errors even though someone inconvenient sometimes.
thanks

Hello… well there are some things I do in my projects… first.. everything is managed by layers… and hide everything you don’t need in the moment… I recommend you to use a plug in called “outliner” it is a great tool…

Then… for selecting objects you can use de “Q” key… that is just a select tool.... then when you want to “transform any object” you press the “W” or “E” or “R” key… then you can press the “SPACEBAR” to lock your selection and then you can click and drag in any part of the view-port to transform your object without worrying about selecting anything else…

that method sound a bit too much but once you master it it’s faster… and one more thing… you can restrict the movements with your keyboard to x,y and z by pressing f5,f6,f7 respectively or toggle restrict to plane by pressing f8…

hope this workflow helps you…
