Hello all...i have created a simple scene in which i link a sphere to a dummy which is linked to a path constraint at frame 20 then link the sphere back to the world at frame 70 and let reactor take over from there. Everything works fine until i create the keys in reactor where the sphere seems to be way ahead of the dummy between the frames that it follows the dummy and path constraint and so the reactor keys are way ahead of where they are in the preview and where i want them to be. i have even tried to set a keyframe for the sphere at the start and end of the path constraint to keep the sphere what it should be but this doesn’t work either. Can someone please help me on this as i can’t do what i want to do without using it and have no idea what i am doing wrong, i have tried following the advice on link constraints and path constraints on the other threads i have seen but i can’t seem to get this to work with reactor. The reactor is set to kick in at the right frame where i link the sphere back to the world and i have left all the settings at the default position. I am using max 2009 and any help on this would be greatly appreciated as it it driving me mad. I have uploaded an example scene to show you. Thanks.

Curious…

Try changing the Solver to Havok 3 - seems to work better here.
Oh, and remove the existing keys from 70-100 and autokey the position at Fr70 aligned to the dummy before running the sim.

Thanks Steve that works perfectly, it has been driving me mad all night trying to solve it and looking through the forums. Cheers.
