I have created a character rig with a point helper linking bones of the back to bones of the arm (shoulder).  The animation is using linear tangents

When I rotate the point helper (shoulder) along one axis between two key frames the resulting frames between those keyframes create an arch animation through different axis.  I have tried rotating using local and using view (reference coordinate system) with the problem occurring with both.  In the track editor it shows no arch…

Only happens with one of the shoulders both have been created the same way… Any help?

Thanks

M

I just created a new helper which seems to be rotating correctly.

But if anyone knows why this happens or how to avoid it in the future I would still be interested to hear.

Cheers
