Actually, I posted the file to see what you would do with it using your method, if you might.
I just used rotation on each page axis after moving the pivot point to the edge of the page object
(which by the way are too thick)
and skipped altogether putting any animation on the book itself other than the front cover.
The inner (toward what I was referring to as the “binder”, or outer edge of the book where it’s all held together)
bulk of pages is represented by a single object so not sure how that will work.
I tried a few things the other day but decided not to mess with animating anything other than the cover due to complications.
I did use a simple bones setup on an animation with a greeting card type which worked quite well.

Hi Don,

I worked a bit making a new book opening with some pages similar to yours. This file shows more how I rigged the book, not so much the pages. Their animation is pretty specific (and rough) and not able to turn the pages, unless you do each one by hand or with another script (I’m not experienced with that yet). And if you’re gonna use a setup similar to this, you should probably add more bones and polyes where the book bends to open to make it look better.
