I have been trying to get a toy car to move forward with all of the wheels working and such, so I tried the toy car reactor object. I thought that it was possible to move the car forward using only this object, but it seems that I have to move the car using auto key and such. Is there anyway to move the car using the object, so that I can preview the motion in reactor?

Enableing the Spin Wheels option should make the car go. You may have to increase the Speed and Gain parameters.
Some examples on this thread.

Nothing happens even with the spin wheels option enabled. Is there a ground object or something that I have to make?

Yes, you can use a Reactor plane as the ground, or use another Rigid Body if you don’t want it flat.
With no ground it will just fall.
