Hello All,

First off, I am entirely new to the world of 3ds Max and 3D modelling in general, and am primarily tinkering for fun. So my understanding of the problem I’m about to present is limited, and any solutions you have might need to be explained with bullet points, ha.

So here it is: I’m toying with character models from Mass Effect 2, using umodel and ActorX Importer to extract the models and pull them into 3ds Max. I can successfully extract, import and texture the models, but when I try to import and load an animation track, a script box appears and gives me the following error:

“MAXScript Rollout Handler Exception: --Unknown system exception.”

Thus far, I have been unable to locate a satisfactory reason for this specific problem (the Rollout Handler Exception is mentioned elsewhere, but for different contexts). So I am here, appealing to much more knowledge people.

If it helps to know, I am using 3ds Max 2012 on Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit, with 6GB of RAM and an Intel Core i3 CPU 540 running at 3.07 GHz.

Any suggestions are duly appreciated, and I would be glad to provide any additional information that might aid such suggestions.

Thank you!
