Whenever I open a file in 3D Studio Max 2009 I am getting this error message:

An error has occurred and the application will now close. No scene changes have occurred
since your last save.

Actually I can create a simple scene and save, but whenever I open I am getting this message.
The file is not corrupt coz I can open in my laptop computer. Any help from you guys, I need a
step by step instruction in solving this problem. Many thanks.

First, please let us know what your system specs are (CPU, RAM, OS, etc.).  It’s best if you add this information to your profile signature, like you see below.  That way we don’t have to search for the info in the thread, it’s always readily available anytime you post.

Second, have you made any changes (hardware or software) to your computer recently?  Assuming that Max has worked before on this computer, and is just now having this problem.  Or is this a new install, and has not yet worked correctly?
