3ds Max Design 2009 Mental Ray Error

Every time I render an image over 3000 pixels I got this message

RC 0.3 error 081001: failed to create frame buffer 0: C:\DOCUME~1(Not enough storage is available to process this command.)
IMG 0.3 error 101003: : can’t create file

Please Help

Well, much like the error message alludes to, you don’t have enough memory to render an image of that size.  Send the job to BackBurner, and use Split Scanline to render it to strips.  Even if you only have one machine running the job, it should still be able to run the job and it will stitch the image back together at the end.

How much RAM do you have installed?  What OS are you using?

See the post “Frame Buffer mr Rendering Error”, it explains how to enable the 3GB switch. It should solve all your problems. It worked for me.
