Hi Guys,

Sorry if this is a basic problem, but im currently doing a project using 3dsMax 2009 and Gamebryo.
I Have created a simple animation and am now trying to export it in the gamebryo format. When i do so it comes up with an error saying it couldnt find any animation sequences? Any ideas how i can create one? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers
Hugh

I have no idea what gamebryo is, but a sequence, in the context of animation, generally means a series of still image frames, saved in a regular image format, like TGA or PNG with a numerical sufix to identify the frame number/order, that’s how most people (should) render from Max. To do this simply choose a still image format for the render output, then render.

It’s the engine for Oblivion, Fallout3 and many other well known titles, on PC and various consoles. Wikipedia:Gamebryo

@Hugh - you might find that modding forums for those games such as the TESC Wiki:Animation might be a useful starting point.

Cheers for the replies guys, i have found out the problem. It turns out that the gamebryo plugin installs an animation editor but does hides it away in the bowels of the program, never to be found!  Cheers for the link to the modding community, there is a real lack of support options available!
