A simple interior shot with post work done in photoshop....I Would like some comments back on what would be the best lighting solution for the downlights..I would like to cast a bit of light so they can be picked up on the walls and floors, but not too much that it washes out the scene..what type of lights should i be using to make the lights more realistic....Any help would be great.....

Photometric lights with IES profiles will give you an accurate light source...provided your scene is modeled to a realistic scale (looks like it is).  Go to a light manufacturer’s website like Delta, Erco, etc. and find some similar downlights and download the appropriate IES file.

If by chance you’re not sure how to assign an IES profile to a photometric light source, there should be some info on that in the help file.
