I’m trying to animate my biped which is attached to my Mole. I am a beginner to 3dsmax. I placed my mole in left view and entered the 9th frame and moved my leg while pressing the Auto Key button and then after that I let go of the Auto Key button to stop animating. When I play, it doesn’t move at all.

How can I make my leg move (animate) using the autokey or the set key thingy? Check the attached file to see what I mean

I suggest you look at the tutorials supplied with Max first. There’s a whole section on animating with Biped.

Max 4.2 through 2013.
XP-64 (SP2)
NVidia 9800GTX-512 (Driver 266.58).
Core 2 Quad Q6600 2.4GHz, 8Gb Ram, DX9.0c.

i was having similar issues… i went and did tutorials and seemed to have a foothold but not a full grasp.  i found the jpg below which helped considerably for basic biped use.
