Hi,
I have a laptop running Windows 7 and since the day I bought it I cannot drag & drop files in the material editor and viewport anymore. That applies to both textures and objects. Why is that? On the other hand I have no problems dragging files in Photoshop on the same laptop and in 3ds Max on my 2 workstations which are running XP x64. This is really slowing my workflow a lot. I couldn’t find answer anywhere. It drives me crazy! Unfortunately I cannot install XP, the laptop does not support it.

Specs:
Software: 3ds Max 2009 SP1 and the latest hotfix (but tried 9 and 2011 and had the same problem too)
OS: Windows 7 x64
CPU: Intel i3 M330 2.13 Ghz
RAM: 3 GB
Video: ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5650

I have the same issue , and with other softwares too.

It’s something related to Windows, not 3dsmax i think. Maybe a services , because i’m working with admnistrator right on all my softwares.

Have you solved your problem ?
