I’m on windows xp 64 bit and have max 2008 and 2009 installed, i used to be able to see file thumbnails when i went to File>open in Max but now all i see is a thumbnail sized Max logo. i have “save viewport thumbnail image” ticked in preferences and i’ve tried opening and re-saving files but to no avail.

Is there any way to get these back? it really slows me down searching for content.

Thanks

Open this and double click to run it. It lets you see thumbs in Win Explorer.
