cant unhide model

ok i made a knife and hid the blade to work on the handle , i then tried to unhide all , but nothing happened , i searched through the help files and still couldnt get the object to show up in my view ports , but when i render it shows up fine. and its layer isnt hiden or anything .

any help would be much appreciated , if you need pictures i can post them

Some ideas.

The blade is an extruded spline and you have disabled splines in the display panel.

The blade is frozen and you have Hide frozen objects selected.

The blade is a mesh (or poly) and you hid the faces in sub-object mode.

nope , i still cant see the knife , i tryed all the things you said but couldnt get it to show.

Weird. Any chance you can post the scene? Just the blade would suffice.
