Can someone verify that this file is corrupt? I’ve got about 100 in the set of files from a client, dating from ‘96 and ‘98. None of the files I’ve tried are opening. Including map files (.tga, .tif, .jpg).
He sent me an old hard drive full of all sorts of old projects for re-rendering/refreshing. I’d hate to tell him they’re all garbage.

No good here on 2009.
If you cannot even open a TGA file (file specificaion unchanged since the early 80’s) I would suspect the hard-drive.
Can you open any file on the hard-drive?

yes, I already went through a whole series and re-rendered. I just spoke to him, and he tells me he’s got other locations/tape backups/hard drives with copies of the files, that he’ll have to go through and find the closest to the original, verify that they open, and re-send to me.
Thanks for verifying. I assumed you’d get the same result, but you never know sometimes.
