Two of the computers at work can’t save max files to a network drive. It fails 70% of the time. Endless saving… and corrupts the file.
what is being done is saving locally and then copying up the files which works fine. But this is quite annoying if you forget now and then.
For example you open a file from the network disk, do some changes, and then save it and destroy the file. Woops.

This is perhaps not the best forum? I don’t know if its max related problem. Maybe a bad network cable or two.

Anyone experienced something like it?

I experience the same issue but 100% of the time. Did you figure out what it was?

I remember someone quite a while back having issues like this that were related to a piece of network hardware.  It was a bad switch configuration or something.  Try searching back several months, maybe mid to end of 2008, and see what you can find.
