Hello all,

I am attempting to learn how to create render passes using mental ray in 3ds max 2009.  I have figured out how to use the render elements but the problem I am running into is the quality of the passes.  It appears that the passes, especially shadow, come out jagged while the main render comes out just fine.  resolution can be pretty high and I still run into this issue.  Also, I do not appear to get an alpha channel when using the tif format but I do when using tga.  What am I missing?

Thanks,

K.

The render elements have an Enable Filtering option that toggles the AA, for some of them it defaults to off. There is a reason for it.
