When I attempt to simulate a cloth modifier on a Lathe shape that has been converted to an editable mesh and had a small section booleaned out (It’s meant to be a poncho, with a small face hole in it, if that helps.  It’s a very simple shape.), which has a biped set as collision object (as in each piece is set to a collision object, depth and offset of 3, both frictions set to 1), the cloth simply disappears.  I have absolutely no clue what is causing this, although I really don’t have much knowledge of the cloth modifier in general.  The cloth also has two groups noded to the biped’s head, to prevent the “masked” area over the face from slipping.  I know it isn’t that what I’m attempting is impossible, as I did it before with another similar set of values, but sadly that biped and its cloth seems to have up and disappeared (entirely different issue, I believe.  Perhaps I saved it to the wrong drive and it’s on a computer I don’t currently have access to, I’m not sure).  I’d take a screenshot, and I will if anyone feels they need to see the shape to figure it out, but outside of what I mentioned, the only other settings would be the cloth itself, which is set as a basic cotton.
Also, since I’m not much of an expert with cloth modifier, I’m also curious as to which settings need to be tinkered with to prevent an over stretching of the cloth.  I believe I was messing with “Thickness” before and it worked fairly well, but as I said, I lost my model and I’ve run into a whole new set of issues, so any help is greatly appreciated.

If you must use a boolean on your mesh it’s best to collapse it or convert to a mesh after. Although the best way to create cloth meshes is to make flat panels, starting with spline outlines and applying Garment Maker. See the Cloth tutorials for more detail on how to do this.
Also, for the collision object, it is usual to use the character skin, rather than the biped.

You may have a pathological mesh. Check for zero-area triangles.

Thanks for the help.  For whatever reason, simply going ahead, deleting it, and doing it over fixed it, so I’m set on this regard.

Well, like I said, I managed to get the biped up and running, as well as the cloth.  However, once I set the keys and all that for the biped’s movement, and then tried to simulate the motion, it simply fails to start to simulate.  I have tried erasing the previous simulations, as well as moving the cloth itself before simulation, so as to prevent it from being too close for the offset to work (I’m not even sure if that’s an actual error, I was simply trying everything I could think of) Any help is greatly appreciated, as I’ve already fallen well behind on this project and NEED to start rendering as soon as possible.
