Hi,

I am in 3ds Max 2009 trial 64-bit in my vista 64-bit computer and my problem is this.  When I right or left click the little arrow on the right down corner of the buttons like orbit, select and uniform scale, rectangular and selection region, snaps toggle and all buttons that have those little arrows that should show a drop down where i can select some options, I cannot see any drop down, nothing happens when i clcik it.  I would like to ask if what could be the problem here.

Thanks…

darlene

Left click and hold (the button) - the flyout should appear under the button. Right clicking the move/rotate/scale buttons should produce a dialog. If the dialogs don’t appear then maybe they are just offscreen (often happens when moving from a 2 monitor setup to a single monitor).

Max under vista runs best if installed and run as Administrator, with Aero turned off. Check you have the latest Video drivers, if you installed mouse drivers, try removing them (use the ones built into windows)..

Max 4.2 through 2013.
XP-64 (SP2)
NVidia 9800GTX-512 (Driver 266.58).
Core 2 Quad Q6600 2.4GHz, 8Gb Ram, DX9.0c.

Hi,

Thank you so much, left click and holding the button worked.  Thank you for your help.

And just a PS that you may know anyway.....you don’t need to click and hold on the little dark corner itself.....anywhere on the button will do :)
