I have been following some guides to make a proper metallic material, they suggest me to use HDR images for reflections.
I have a HDR image i want to use as an environment map, but the HDRI plugin from splutterfish is outdated and doesn’t work.

Is there any other plugins to use HDR images as environment maps?

Update:
Nevermind, turns out the plugin has been included with the newer versions of max

Update2: However, i can not get it to work

Ive been using these 2 guides:
http://www.the123d.com/tutorial/general/hdri.html
http://mentalraytips.blogspot.co...tal-with-miamaterial.html

But the environment turns black (background colour), and there is no reflections. Both are shown in the exposure preview though, but also, if i choose spherical environment i can see that it just gets smudged out. What is it in the guides that no longer works? What am i doing wrong? Do i need the plugin for HDR images to process properly after all?

Update3: I enabled exposure control, and it works now. However the environment map is huge and smudged out (or the object is tiny) any suggestions on that?
