How can I improve MR's mrPrim rendering quality?

When Hair & Fur first appeared in Max in the 7.5 extension, they included an mr hair shader for use with mr prim. But it dissapeared in subsequent versions. An alternative is muhHair, at the bottom of this page:-

May be worth a try. I did see a tutorial for it somewhere, but I can’t remember where, it helped because the default setting you get dont look too good.
