importing to 3ds max

Hello,

i was wondering how to export a building as separate piece, when i export from blender it’s separate pieces, so why is it when i import the building into 3ds max as a wavefront object its all whole. can anyone help?

There should be a choice in blender to export as wavefront .obj right? Ive been able to import into max as a wavefront and still maintain separate pieces. It sounds like blenders settings.

Hmm could you tell me what settings you used? please?

Sorry, I didnt mention that I was importing from Poser. Poser has presets that you can tell it where your exporting to. I just had to tell it that I was exporting to Max and also tell it that I wanted to export the object in pieces.
