I have a problem in max 2009 64bit in that my material editor has disappeared, I was applying materials closed thee editor moved around thee viewports then opened the material editor again and it didn’t appear. I have closed max and restarted it still no material editor, I have rebooted the machine and restarted max and still no material editor. It has done this a couple of times before but restarting max usually brings the editor back up any suggests on what’s going on.

Pressing M on the keyboard, clicking the button on the menu bar, or picking material editor from the render menu makes no deference it’s not showing up.

Hi and thanks, it’s a similar problem, I run max on two monitors, with a desktop that spans them both, the material editor seems to fall into no mans land between the two monitors. If I turn desktop spanning off the material editor apears on my main monitor, I can then turn desktop spanning back on and it stays on my main monitor, at lease I know where it’s gone now when it disappears, just don’t know why.

David
