So I’m rendering some hair in max.  It renders fine in the test frames on the local system, but when I send it to render over the net render, the Frames get Cropped, and only the lower 2/3rds of the frame render out the hair.

The hair and the matted Geometry is the only things in the scenes being rendered as its own separate pass.

Any idea how to fix the problem?

I think I’ve read about this happening before, and it wound up being a lack of memory.  Rendering hair can be pretty RAM intensive, and when it runs out, it stops.

Try doing a smaller resolution test (should use less memory), and see if the problem persists.

If you’re rendering with buffer mode, you can try increasing the Tile Memory Usage in the H&F Render Effects.
