Max not drawing back of faces

I must have accidentally changed a viewport setting but I cant figure it out. Max isnt drawing the back of faces. And no it doesn’t help if I check backface culling, because its not an issue of me being able to select things, its just really annoying not to be able to see the faces.

Backface culling has nothing to do with selecting something it hides face whose normals are pointing away from the camera which is exactly your problem. Select the object > right click and disable “enable backgace culling”.

Right I am aware of that but I dont want to have to do that to every object. It never use to do that there has to be a way for Max to draw the backfaces by default. Any body know where this setting is. Somehow it got changed and its really annoying.

There’s Backface Cull on Object Creation in the viewports tab of the preferences.



3ds Max 2009 SP1, 2010 SP1
Maya 2012
