Hello,
I created a scene in max 2009 32bit on windows xp and used mov video background it worked fine, then I upgraded to windows vista and max 2009 64bit, and now I cant use the mov video in that exact same scene. Max says its an invalid file type…

Im using it through the material editor and yes quicktime is installed on the machine.

im using max 2009 x64 and running on windows vista.. any ideas whats wrong??

There is no 64-bit Quicktime.  You are limited to creating/using Avi files, with limited codecs available or no compression.  You’ll have to do some post production and add the Quicktime movie in after you render, or run the 32-bit version of Max.
