Hi ekah

Thanks for your reply. Yeh, have ticked the ‘include subfolders’ and all the map paths are in the configure paths like I’ve done a million times before but still have the same prob. Its very weird. This only starting happening when I installed service pack 1 of Vista so maybe this has something to do with it.

That is weird. I don’t know what to say.

Few things to try/check:

-Do you have User Account thingy turned on? You know, that annoying thing in Vista that asks for permission every time you open a program. Try turning it off and see if that makes a difference.

-Rename or temporarily move all of the .ini files, then launch Max.

-Uninstall and reinstall Max. It would be better if you didn’t have to, but sometimes a fresh restart isn’t a bad thing. Just make sure to back up your customized files before proceeding.

I’m running out of ideas. Hopefully Tim and/or others can join in the discussion.

Uncheck the „Real World Scale“, Digitalboy, I think that will bring them back.
(See Attachment.)

Cheers for your advice guys. Much appreciated. Ivan, unchecking the real world scale does work for some of the material libraries but not others so a bit of progress now. Cheers for the heads up on this, something I should have picked up on!!! I will try the other things and get back to you.

Cheers

You are welcome DB, just a couple of questions:
Which Mat-librarie doesn’t work, are they some of the Max default ones or something different (custom libraries)?
And, you have surely tested it but anyway, are the Material Editor settings any other than default?
